Accessibility Statement

The Ministry of Defense invests a lot of resources to enable users who experience physical, sensory, and cognitive difficulties to browse the website easily and comfortably and to benefit from the service and the content published on it. The site was built by the regulations on equal rights for people with disabilities (service accessibility adjustments), תשע"ג-2013, and Israeli standard 5568 by W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, accessibility level AA. The site was tested using the JAWS screen reader and the Chrome browser.

Accessibility measures on the site

The site has the following accessibility measures:

  • Possibility of full use by people with blindness using screen reading software.
  • Possibility to browse the website using a keyboard or other assistive technology: repeatedly pressing the TAB key moves the cursor between the various links, and pressing the ENTER key activates the link.
  • The means of navigation and orientation on the site are consistent and convenient to use.
  • The site's contents are written in clear language and well organized using headings and lists.
  • The design is adapted to people with visual impairment or color blindness.
  • The site does not contain flickering and moving content (animations, moving text). If there is such content, there is an option to stop it.
