Ways to Work With Us

  • #Program

    Green Lane Track

A fast-track direct engagement under simplified conditions tailored for small startups. The Green Lane Track enables fast, direct engagement under simplified conditions (IP remains with the company, a two-year ISO exemption, expedited payment terms, and more) for high-tech startups and companies to implement projects for the defense system. This track provides startups with the opportunity to present innovative technological solutions and engage directly with the Ministry of Defense and the IDF, led by the DDR&D.

  • #Program

    INNOFENSE

The DDR&D's innovation program for dual-use technological ventures. Operated by iHLS and SOSA, the program provides selected companies with technical-operational and business mentorship, an initial grant of 200,000 NIS, and full retention of intellectual property rights by the companies. The program's goal is to identify startups that can help develop new technologies for multi-domain defense challenges. It focuses on feasibility testing (POC) for technologies at low TRLs (3-5) over six months. Successful POCs with potential may advance to direct R&D collaboration.

  • #Program

    INNOTAL

DDR&D and ATAL Innovation Program, Operated by the Israeli Innovation Institute, this program aims to identify groundbreaking Israeli technologies and integrate them into the IDF through the ATAL (Technology and Logistics Directorate). The program focuses on fields such as medicine, food, vehicles, construction, energy, logistics, ammunition, and more. Emphasis is placed on the feasibility testing of relatively mature technologies (TRLs 5-7) through on-site evaluations to assess their suitability for ATAL's needs. Successful POCs with potential may progress to procurement within six months.

  • #Competition

    Mafat Challenge

The Mafat Challenge is a series of prize competitions in the field of data science, open to the general public, academia, and the industrial sector. The competition aims to explore the potential of advanced data science methods to enhance and enrich the Israeli Ministry of Defense's data products. Winning methodologies may eventually be applied to real-world data, and winners may be invited to collaborate further with the Israeli Ministry of Defense on future projects.

  • #Program

    Meimad Program

This program is a joint initiative of the Israel Innovation Authority, the Ministry of Finance, and the DDR&D within the Ministry of Defense. The program supports the development of innovative solutions for military needs and commercial markets at the pre-product stage. It focuses on technologies at low TRLs (3-5).
